A long-time resident of Toronto's Danforth-East neighbourhood, her interests include stand-up paddleboarding, urban cycling, photography, thrifting, and art.

Marilyn Herie was so incredibly amazing! I can't say enough good things about her. She was so kind and helpful. She met with us before the ceremony and walked us through the whole process, really putting our minds at ease. We had a very small ceremony and on the day of she introduced herself and spoke to everyone and made them all feel so welcome and included. Marilyn even offered to take a group photo of everyone, which was so thoughtful because we didn't have a photographer and would not have thought to do that. I have that photo framed now. She was such a lovely part of such a wonderful day. We will appreciate her and remember her for the rest of our lives! June 2025
