Everything was starting to fall apart when we learned that no officiant was included on our wedding day. I was starting to lose hope that we would be able to find one last minute because I knew we were asking for the borderline impossible…. but Natasha was absolutely incredible in helping us save our wedding day at the last moment. She was incredibly kind and beyond helpful in helping us. Literally within about 35 minutes, we had an officiant on the way. Laurence McKenna showed up and literally saved our wedding day. He was incredibly kind, very thoughtful, and funny which was a very welcome change of pace after all of the last-minute stress of trying to scramble to find an officiant. Rev Laurence McKenna was an absolute delight. He exceeded our expectations ten-fold. Rev McKenna arrived early and was able to go over the documents with us ahead of time and next steps. The ceremony was perfect. The reading and vows were exactly what we wanted (and allowed us to really be ourselves - adding soft humour and kindness). Following the ceremony, not only our attendants signed as witnesses, but also our sons that did not act as witnesses, but rather participants. It was kind, loving and we could not have been happier - on this day, the happiest day of our lives. He worked with our ever-changing schedules, provided us with a personalized wedding script, accommodated changes and edits, and — we kid you not — even *invented* a unique Blessing of the Hands speech & learned to tie our Handfasting cord, just to further incorporate our specific cultural traditions into the ceremony. Our family (both Canadian, and those visiting from Ireland) were in awe of how professionally & seamlessly he lead our ceremony. We could not have asked for a better experience! We had the privilege of having Laurence as the officiant on our wedding day. He exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. He was extremely organized and prepared throughout the whole process. He helped us a great deal to organize the ceremony to the way we wanted it. He would give us options for different parts throughout the ceremony and would help us in our discussions to decide what we wanted to do.
