Dr Erik (Mark) Hecht
Erik is a (soon to be retired) lawyer and licensed marriage officiant in the province of Ontario, authorized to solemnize marriages under provincial law. He works with couples of all backgrounds and beliefs to create ceremonies that are personal, meaningful, and authentic to who they are. He can officiate interfaith, non-denominational, spiritual, secular, and culturally rooted ceremonies, and can incorporate Christian or Jewish traditions where desired; while recognizing that these ceremonies are not performed as a Catholic Sacrament of Marriage or as a halachic Jewish wedding. He can even conduct prayers in ancient Hebrew!
