David lives in New Westminster but was raised in Quensel. David has been learning, growing and maturing as a minister with the International Metaphysical Ministry for the past seventeen years culminating in a PhD. He is also an avid N Scale model railroader, enjoys hiking, biking, rollerblading and spending time at the beach. Weddings are meant to be lighthearted, full of life, love, joy, laughter and fun and are after all a celebration, a beautiful celebration of love! I love working with couples to ensure their BIG day not only goes smoothly but is joyful. As an experienced wedding officiant, I welcome and celebrate all couples from all walks of life. Life and Love are gifts to be shared! And this includes the beautifully diverse LGBTQ+ community!

The booking process was super simple and stress-free. Other than the getting married part... we LOVED having the event at our home in Port Moody. It turned out to be the perfect day weather-wise, and our guests loved all the unique and personal touches we incorporated into the day (including a commercial slushie machine). We chose Dr. David Bonin as our officiant, and we have absolutely nothing but fabulous things to say about him. He is kind, lighthearted, and excellent to communicate with. Our guests raved about how our short and sweet ceremony was perfect because nothing was dragged out, and that David's presence and interactions with us made the whole ceremony feel fun, warm, and overflowing with love—which is more than we could have ever dreamed of! The site was straightforward and had write-ups that represented the personality and manner of officiants well. The wedding vows were the best thing about the wedding. David Bonin did an initial write-up of the ceremony after speaking to us, and we got to tweak it a bit with our own touches. This was greatly appreciated and helpful. David has a warm and elegant manner and great wit during the ceremony. Everything went perfectly. David had everything under control, paperwork organized, and a super sharp style! July 2026

You want David Bonin as your officiant. He was perfect. His energy, his personality, his presentation. All of it. The sound and tone of his voice. He was accommodating and so patient and sincere. My location moved last minute, I was assigned David on the Monday before my Thursday wedding. I was an hour late because I was tending to my mom between getting ready (I had let him know we may be behind depending on how her morning went) but I hadn’t dreamed I’d be that late. My husbands only groomsmen was stuck at home waiting for an emergency dentist appointment to deal with his abscessed tooth that had swollen his eye shut. Aaaaand my daughter dropped my ring in the forest. Luckily we found it within 15 minutes or so. It was quite the day. All the while David had a calm charming smile, reassuring words, and a walk of confidence that everything would be just fine. Such a grounding presence amongst chaos was a lifesaver. And I loved his look. It’s funny how you can feel so close to a stranger after they marry you to your life partner. And the odd sense of trust that came with it.
